The Taiwanese company is going to update its current mid-range phones to the latest Android version.
We knew we could trust HTC, and in fact after the already announced devices a second round is ready to be unveiled and we can already tell you about it.
In fact, thanks to a reliable internal source, we received information about an April release of Android 4.0 with HTC Sense 3.5 for the HTC Desire S, Desire HD and Incredible S. The three devices will receive the new firmware on different days during the month, and will follow the upgrades of the Sensation family (confirmed for February) and the EVO 3D (early March).
Thanks HTC for being always ahead listening to its customers and updating the most devices and not just the top ones.

As the resident geek for my friends I decided that if the Desire S doesn’t get ICS I will stop recommending HTC phones entirely. A phone that popular not getting a single major Android update would be a complete joke.

Do you really think that they will make sense 3.5 for android 4, when they have sense 4.0 which is android 4 ready? Yes they do, totally, not.

@Jfrigger … well its not Sense 3.5, but rather 3.6.. All the test key ICS builds out of HTC are all Sense 3.6 at this time.

@Flavio you are right, it is confirmed by HTC: “All devices that get ICS will get Sense 3.5 together with it”.
That is okay, as soon as HTC releases the roms, at least all drivers are up to date with ICS, then it is just a matter of time before someone ports Sense 4 to the Desire HD. I cannot imagine this is will be a big problem.
There is no update to ICS on my Desire HD. May is now!!! What’s going on???
