The Japanese manufacturer is planning a comeback into the global market.

NEC has been among the very first players in the global cell phones market, but in the last years their devices have been sold only within the Japanese market. Now we learn that the company is going to present three new Android smartphones at the forthcoming Mobile World Congress, and like Panasonic and Fujitsu, is going to launch them in the global market.
The new MEDIAS handsets run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and support the LTE networks. Among them a very peculiar device is said to have the “best cloud user experience”, and features two displays that can fold completely into a unique block or stay open in a tablet-like format and an extra large battery.
The second smartphone is a “large screen in one hand” hinting at a size around the 5-inch that, differently from the Samsung Galaxy Note and LG Optimus Vu, can be managed with ease with a hand only.
Last is a stylish 4.3-inch smartphone with dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor, 8Mpx camera, water resistance, and an incredibly 6.7mm thin profile.
