Beats integration, combined with amazing 4.7-inch display, introduces a powerful entertainment experience.
As we correctly anticipated, HTC has launched the brand new HTC Sensation XL during today’s London event. Previously known with its codename Runnymede, the HTC Sensation XL – and not HTC Bass as rumored – is completely focused on entertainment, thanks to the Beats Audio technology, a large screen and a great camera.
“With Beats Audio, the HTC Sensation XL continues HTC’s commitment of delivering the best audio possible on your phone whether you’re listening to music, watching a movie or playing a game”, said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. “This is an amazing example of why our partnership with Beats makes so much sense for customers today and into the future”.
“HTC is an incredible partner and has completely embraced our desire to make the music experience on the mobile phone as powerful and as rich as it can be”, said Jimmy Iovine, Chairman of Beats by Dr. Dre.
To deliver the best entertainment experience, the HTC Sensation XL will include the exclusive urBeats in-ear headphones that integrate with the Beats’ audio profile on the device; there is the HTC Watch service to enjoy movies on its large display, and an amazing 8Mpx camera with dual-LED flash, aperture f/2.2, 28mm wide-angle lens and BSI sensor for better low-light performance. As in the original HTC Sensation, the audio captured with the HTC Sensation XL is stereo. A single-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, 768MB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage complete the 9.9mm thick smartphone’s datasheet.
The HTC Sensation XL will be available across EMEA and Asia-Pacific from early November; EMEA customers can also choose a limited edition bundle including the special edition Beats Solo headphones.
